Program Description
BOPEEP was created to provide an enriched environment for early-aged children, which benefits their intellectual, physical, emotional and social development. BOPEEP will consist of 18 children per class. Each class will include some children with mild to moderate special education needs. This program provides an opportunity for typically developing children to participate in a quality preschool program while being models for special needs students. The program also provides an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in an inclusionary model.

The program will be supported by a wide variety of early childhood specialists including:

·General education preschool teacher
·Early childhood special education teacher
·Early childhood special education classroom aide
·Speech and language pathologist
·School psychologist
·Cal State Fullerton Education Specialists
·District Early Readiness Coordinator
·District Early Readiness Nurse

The curriculum includes the Creative Curriculum, Desired Results (State of California program) and the State of California Pre-Kindergarten Standards. The curriculum and professional support will provide children with an early childhood enriched program preparing them for Kindergarten. Research shows that quality preschool programs reduce the need for remedial classes in subsequent grade levels. During the preschool years, children develop characteristics that will affect their lifelong love of learning.
