What is Transitional Kindergarten and is my child eligible?
Transitional Kindergarten is an early year kindergarten experience for children turning 5 years old between September 2, 2024, and June 2, 2025. Transitional Kindergarten gives our youngest kindergartners an early start and provides them with the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment tailored to meet their academic and social-emotional needs.
Parents of children who will turn five years old during the summer of 2024 and are interested in TK enrollment can set up an appointment for a TK screening. Contact Amy Shultz at [email protected] or call 714-990-7581. Please note: There will be limited enrollment in TK for students who are eligible for Kindergarten. With the expansion of TK, decisions will be made on space availability. Final decisions will be made in early August 2024.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
- Current TK students do NOT need to register for Kindergarten. They will automatically be enrolled in the system.
