Brea Canyon High School is proud to announce that its accreditation has been officially reaffirmed by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) through June 30, 2029.
Following a review of the school’s mid-cycle report, ACS WASC determined that Brea Canyon High School continues to meet the organization’s rigorous criteria for accreditation. This recognition reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, continuous improvement, and high-quality educational programs.
The accreditation decision was based on a comprehensive evaluation of information provided by the school, including evidence of progress toward schoolwide goals and continued growth in support of students.
ACS WASC accreditation signifies that Brea Canyon High School maintains standards aligned with excellence in secondary education and remains dedicated to preparing students for success both inside and outside the classroom.
“We are proud of the work taking place on our campus each day and remain committed to fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment for all students," said BCHS Principal Fernando Grimaldo.
Accreditation status is contingent upon the school’s continued adherence to ACS WASC policies, procedures, and accreditation standards, including ongoing participation in the peer review process through visiting committees.
Brea Canyon High School looks forward to building on this success and continuing its pursuit of educational excellence in the years ahead.
