Save the date! Are you looking for a fun and educational opportunity for your child/children on Friday, November 15 (a teacher prep day and no school day for elementary students). Look no further! At the Monday, October 28th Board meeting, the Board of Education presented the Leonard MacKain Friend of Education Award to Mr. Rod Todd for his over 20 years of dedication and support of the students and programs of BOUSD and Mr. Rick Finnie Owner of M.R. Join us for a special Screening of the documentary Angst

Please join us on Tuesday, October 22nd from 6-7:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room at Olinda Elementary School for a special screening of the documentary Angst: Raising Awareness around Anxiety. Angst is a new documentary that explores anxiety, its causes and effects, and what we can do about it. Admission is free and this film is recommended for adults and children ages 10 and up.

National School Bus Safety Week: October 21-25, 2019

Held during the third full week of October each year, National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties - to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety. 4th Annual BOUSD State of the Schools Breakfast - Presentation

On Thursday, the Brea Education Foundation, in partnership with the district,hosted the 4th annual State of the Schools Breakfast. The District welcomed more than 200 attendees from throughout the Brea community representing the district’s nine schools, staff, parent leaders, state and local elected officials, business and Brea community members. Highlights from the breakfast included performances by the combined BOUSD orchestra as well as a special rendition of “A Million Dreams” by the Olinda Elementary School Choir.
