Paul Ruiz was elected to the Board of Education in November of 2016, and was recently re-elected to serve another four-year term in November of 2020.
Mr. Ruiz has lived in the City of Brea for the past 24 years. He is married and their two children attend schools in the Brea Olinda Unified School District. Paul has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the California State University of Fullerton. Since graduation, Paul has worked the last 25 years as a Police Officer.
Paul has volunteered in the community with the Orange County Rescue Mission, is on the Board of Directors and coaches for the Brea Pop Warner Football program, and is a coach for the National Junior Basketball Association. In addition, Paul has served as a board member for the Arovista PTA and co-chaired the Arovista Yearly Round Up, Talent Show and Jog-a-thon.
