Together, they offer more than 30 years of combined experience in public education and a passion for building positive school cultures where students and staff can thrive.

Need transportation for the upcoming school year? Bus Pass Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are officially open beginning today, July 1!
⏰ Priority Application Window:
🗓️ July 1 – July 15, 2026
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and bus seating is limited, so families are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
The application will close from July 16-24 to allow transportation staff to assign routes and produce bus passes.
📣📆Applications will reopen from July 25- Aug. 7 and close again on Aug. 8
Additional application windows will open for the year based on seat availability.

🏆 Congratulations to our incredible BOUSD students!
We're proud to celebrate Logan T of Falcon Academy, who captured 1st Place at the California National Civics Bee Competition and will represent California at the National Civics Bee Championship in Washington, D.C., this fall!
A huge congratulations also goes to Aryan G of Olinda Elementary, who earned 2nd Place, as the two Brea students helped lead an impressive sweep of the top honors at the state competition held June 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Earlier this month, Camila was recognized at the annual AVID 8th Grade Standout Recognition Ceremony at Angel Stadium on May 13 for her outstanding achievements and leadership.
“Camila is a kind-hearted, responsible scholar who strives for excellence in both her academics and personal life,” shared AVID teacher Cherise Catolico. “Whether she's maintaining her 4.0 GPA, cultivating positive peer relationships, helping others with their tutorial questions, or performing her heart out in flamenco dance performances, Camila does it all with a warm smile.”

Superintendent Leon and staff were honored to attend the Brea Police Department’s Peace Officer Memorial event today, joining community members in paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
A special thank you to Brea Olinda High School student Max Oprea for his moving performance of “Taps,” which brought a meaningful and heartfelt moment to the ceremony.

The National Civics Bee, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is a nationwide competition that encourages middle school students to deepen their understanding of civics, engage in thoughtful discussions about real-world issues, and share ideas for making a positive impact in their communities.
We’re especially excited to share that Logan will be moving on to the state competition this summer - an incredible accomplishment! We’re so proud of Logan’s dedication to civic learning and leadership. 👏

The Brea Olinda Unified School District Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy in Trustee Area 4 following the adoption of Resolution No. 26-04 on March 5, 2026. The Board will fill the position through a provisional appointment, with the selected candidate serving through December 14, 2026.
📅 Interested candidates must submit a completed application in person to the Superintendent’s Office by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026.
